Location

The apartment is located in Trastevere. This is the place to stay when in Rome. Staying here you are perfectly located. On the edge of Trastevere you have the wonderful benefit of being close enough to Centro Storico and the Colosseum to walk, yet escape the mad crowds of tourists (even though you are actually one!) when you return. We adored the area and location of the apartment.

Nearby Amenities

You have everything you need right on your doorstep here. The restaurants surrounding the apartment were so much cheaper with much better quality food than in the centre of Trastevere. Although, the main centre of Trastevere is a five minute walk, if that.

The House/Apartment

The apartment is located at the top of a traditional house - no lift. The area and house were wonderfully quiet as was the building. The apartment is suitable for two people. Ground floor living area/kitchen with a very comfortable sofa bed. Upstairs is a double bed with bathroom leading off and access to the fabulous roof terrace.

Garden

The outside terrace is fabulous. We visited in summer and had a 360 view with 360 sunshine to match! The outside area is beautiful, table, chairs, parasol and sun loungers. Not to mention a gas barbecue! There is a phenomenal view of St. Peters Basilica from the terrace, a fabulous bonus.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Apartment was adequately furnished, spotlessly clean. Furniture more than adequate.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The decor and presentation of the apartment is fabulous. The bathroom is a work of art! Gorgeous. We had no problems sleeping nor found any problems with the bathroom.

Kitchen

Very well stocked kitchen despite its size. Plenty of pans, crockery etc. Loved the selection of coffee making options! Well, it is Italy!

Problems or Bonuses

The biggest pleasant surprise was how cheap the restaurants close to the apartment were. €1 for bruschetta!

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Booked via VRBO Was fine. Contact and booking procedure with owner was thorough, efficient and professional. It was very easy to communicate and owner is very good at responding promptly to questions, needs and queries once in apartment. The experience far exceeded my expectations.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I would definitely stay again! In fact, I intend to. Have recommended to four people already.
