2bed/2bath apartment near the Duomo, Florence

September 2011, 4 Nights

Location

Just 1/2 block from the Duomo, right in the heart of things, but just far enough away to be quiet. Private, quiet, easy access.

Nearby Amenities

Right in the heart of things in Florence. Easy walking to everything. Restaurants, coffee, bars, market, museums, galleries, Ponte Vecchio. This apartment has it all!

The House/Apartment

Very well maintained. Beautiful old building, wood floors, air conditioned, spacious. Very well appointed. Lots of room for the four of us sit and visit in the evenings. Large living room, large dining area. Third floor, but with an elevator. About eight (maybe) other apartments in building, but very private.

Garden

Overlooked garden, but not part of the facility.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Very good shape, well appointed. Comfortable and attractive.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Bathrooms clean and nice. Upstairs bedroom smaller with twin beds, but can join together. Downstairs bedroom spacious and comfortable. Beds comfortable. Air conditioned throughout.

Kitchen

More than adequate kitchen. Reasonable size. Appropriately furnished. Gas stove, Refrigerator, freezer.

Problems or Bonuses

Much larger and more comfortable than expected. I wish home was this nice.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Very professional. Good on-site representative. Easy to deal with and helpful. Good English. Appropriately priced for such a nice, large apartment.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Absolutely would (and intend to) go back.

Things to do in this area

All of Florence is easily accessible. The Central Market was amazing for food, cheese, wine, etc. I would avoid tourist high season as this is right in the heart of the Florence attractions.
