July 9 2011, 1 week

Podere Le Manzinaie is 10-15 minute driving from Montepulciano and within walking distance from the centre of Montepulciano Stazione and Valiano. It is surrounded by vineyards and other crops. Private location, quiet place, beautiful area with the silhouette of Montepulciano in the distance.

Nearby Amenities

Ten minute walk to groceries, 15 minute walk to lovely restaurants in Valiano.

The House/Apartment

Traditional Italian Villa, with rooms and apartments (don't know how many, but there were about 17-18 tourists at the same time). Quiet, never realised how many other guests were there as there are a number of secluded locations and the cars were kept away from the accommodations.

Plenty of secluded places, courtyard with vegetables and fruit trees available to guests. Nice, clean swimming pool, well positioned for sun.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Good traditional furniture, clean, well maintained accommodation, very good facilities.

Comfortable beds, clean, towels changed twice a week; enough bathrooms, with showers and a jacuzzi.

Well equipped kitchen, with everything one needs. No dishwasher. Pleasant, clean, very nice dishes, pots and pans.

Problems or Bonuses

Nice cocktails popping from nowhere around the swimming pool. Once a week meal provided by owners to all guests with amazing home cooked food and plenty of alcohol and all types of other drinks; very enjoyable atmosphere and lovely opportunity to meet the other guests.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Alice (the owner's daughter) had been exchanging e-mails with us in order to arrange the stay at the Podere le Manzinaie. The most polite and pleasant person; everything was exceptionally well organised.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Would definitely go there again! In fact we hope we can do it next year. It is a beautiful place run by an outstanding family!

Things to do in this area

Sight seeing, painting, walking, going out for meals, shopping. Very good restaurants in Valiano and Montepulciano.
