apartments in Pienza, Tuscany South

When

October 2011, 4 days

Location

This is a lovely home situated at the edge of Pienza. The area is beautiful. We had been to Pienza several times in the past, and it was always one of our favorites. The area has many places to visit near by.

Nearby Amenities

Yes, you can walk to groceries or for coffee. It is on the edge of Pienza. The Coop is across the street. Restaurants in Pienza are very good.

The House/Apartment

I think there were three or four apartments in the building. The owners lived upstairs.

Garden

Nice grounds with swings and seating.

Note from SlowTrav: The Residence (i.e., apartments) do not have a pool but the hotel appears to have one. We do not know if apartment renters are allowed access to the hotel pool.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The apartment was furnished nicely. Good beds and sofa.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

It was perfect for two persons. Bathroom was very modern.

Kitchen

The kitchen was well equipped. I did not cook while there.

Problems or Bonuses

Everything was great. We would do this again in a minute. Hopefully, we can return to this area again soon.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The owners, Luciano and Liliana are wonderful as is their daughter. They were so welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely dinner the last night of our stay with them and the others staying at their home. Everyone enjoyed themselves. One of the other guests spoke pretty good Italian so he was able to translate for the rest of us. Liliana always has a smile for you and is always busy.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Absolutely. Everything was wonderful. I loved Liliana and Luciano. They were so warm and welcoming. Luna, their dog was so friendly. He spent a lot of his time sitting on our steps.

Things to do in this area

We went to the hot springs. They had a notebook with all the details on how to get to the different public springs. We had not done this before and it was a great adventure. You must see these. When you round the bend and see these great formations you will be so surprised.
