Location

When in Rome, do like the Romans!

This ground floor) apartment in 14th century building is the best start to a real Roman experience.

After walking the entire historic center, part of Trastevere and around Vatican, I have to admit this location could not have been outdone! It is so close to all main attractions, even the Vatican is only 10-15 minutes away by foot.

Bon séjour à Rome!

Nearby Amenities

Small market on the north side, Carrefour marché meters away, surrounded by restaurants.

The House/Apartment

Peaceful apartment considering the quite lively neighbourhood. My older parents appreciated it was on the ground floor.

Garden

Beautiful historical courtyard.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Very clean apartment. Great to have WiFi. Enough hot water for four, but keep showers short.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Beds comfortable.

Kitchen

As North Americans, we would have appreciated a toaster.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

We had great pickup at the airport, and Stefano was readily on site, and friendly.

We could leave our luggage there while the apartment was getting ready. However, we had to wait to mid-afternoon to get in, a bit of a stretch after 28 hours awake due to traveling from Canada.

Down payment via Western Union is not as friendly as credit card but was handled professionally.

Merci Stefano for being so reliable and also getting a cab for us on our departure (could not reach them by phone, so walked down a block to cab station).

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Highly recommend this place. Would stay there again!

Things to do in this area

Do not miss restaurant Da Tonino next door(18)! And please order their spaghetti a la gricia(bacon straight from the butcher), you will not regret! Foccachia is another recommended place to go eat. La Taverna right behind the building is OK but stay away from their house wine (I make a better one from concentrate!)
