apartments on an estate outside Montepulciano, Tuscany South WhenSummer 2011, 2009, 2008 and before, 1 week LocationLa Bruciata is located in the countryside close to Montepulciano (five minutes by car) in a very beautiful area, very quiet. A lovely place. Nearby AmenitiesLa Bruciata has got its own restaurant, only for its guests. Every day, Laura and her family (the proprietors) offer a breakfast there with lots of Tuscany´s specialties, home made jam, fresh fruits from their own production, home made cakes and a choice of Italian coffee specialties. On arrival the guests are welcomed with a classical three course dinner. In addition to that Montepulciano has got a wide variety of restaurants of all quality levels and grocery stores as well. The House/ApartmentThe building with the apartments was constructed a couple of years ago as an add-on to the agricultural estate. It consists of four apartments of different sizes, two of them have got one bedroom/one bathroom the other two are equipped with two bedrooms/two bathrooms, one of the with even an additional bedroom. The apartments are in very good shape, nicely decorated with antiques. There is a kitchen corner in each apartment. GardenEach apartment has got its own outside sitting area with a table to eat outside. The whole area is private and quite large. The pool is very nice, absolutely clean, ideal water temperature and has got enough sunbeds for all the guests. Towels for the pool are provided as well. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasAntique furniture of typical Tuscan country style i good shape, enough chairs for everyone, additional sofa in the living room. The apartments were perfectly clean. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bedrooms were very nice, well equipped with window blinds. Air conditioning was available as well. Each bedroom has got a separate bathroom with the exception of one apartment with an additional bedroom. The bathrooms are very well equipped with a built-in shower including a sauna facility. KitchenEverything is in place to do the cooking, even a full meal. Everything was working fine. There are enough pots, pans and dishes. Problems or BonusesThe people who run the estate are really exceptional. Not only that they do their job perfectly - they are very nice and warmhearted people who make you really feel comfortable. Agency and Representatives (and price)I booked directly with the owners. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?We have spent our holidays there in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011. I truly can recommend this place to my best friend. Things to do in this areaFor excellent Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, I recommend Poliziano (on the way to Montepulciano Stazione) and Boscarelli in Cervognano. The restaurants we like most are La Grotta (very exclusive), Cafe Poliziano, Osteria Acquacheta and Gambe di gatto (with possibility to tase local specialties like wine, olive oil, grappa).
