When

June 2012, 1 week, but...

Location

Right in the heart of the pedestrian only area of Trieste. Difficult to find but nice for walking.

Nearby Amenities

A bar, for coffee, is right there and many restaurants within an easy walk.

The House/Apartment

Building seems very new and modern. There are a few others in the building.

Garden

No outside area.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The apartment seemed quite clean.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

One bedroom has a real "matrimonial" bed. In the other it is a trundle with one twin bed much lower than the other.

Kitchen

Kitchen seemed OK.

Problems or Bonuses

The air conditioning: It is just one portable "penguino" type of unit in the living area.If you close the bedroom door at night there is no air. Not OK.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

I have rented many times in Italy and have NEVER been treated so poorly. Let's just say you are totally on your own here. Expect nothing but the keys. Really, horrible behavior by the staff.

We did not stay because of the rudeness and the air conditioning problem. It was a very hot (highs in the 90's) period. I might have overlooked the horrible behavior if the weather was easier, so we didn't have to rely on the air conditioning.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Instead of going into the litany of off putting moments let's just say: Maybe they will have a new staff person soon. The location is great except may be difficult with a car -- at the very least you would have to pay about $20/day for parking.

I would not consider staying there again.
