apartments in Montepulciano, Tuscany South

When

Early August 2012, 6 nights

Location

The location was at the high end of Montepulciano, very quiet, but around the corner from one of the main streets through Montepulciano. Out the front and over the road we could look over the Val di Chiana. Lovely location.

Nearby Amenities

We could walk to everything! Small stores were close by, the major grocery store was a 20 minute walk, but what a walk!

The House/Apartment

The building was built in the 19C and was in very good shape. This apartment was on the first floor, (not the ground floor) and had two enormous bedrooms, a lovely bathroom, and a kitchen/dining/living room which was quite large enough but not on the scale of the bedrooms. We also had a garden terrace, where we took many meals.

Garden

Yes a garden terrace, private, but visible form the other terrace areas.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

All was in good shape and comfortable, clean, ample for all four people.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The bedrooms were wonderful! The beds had very high quality linen sheets so comfortable for hot summer nights. The bathroom was large enough and very good quality.

Kitchen

The kitchen was small, but good enough for cooking meals on holiday, with sufficient equipment for the basics.

Problems or Bonuses

The lovely terrace garden overlooking the main garden was a bonus. The overall look and feel of the apartment, which was spacious and elegant.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The owner was on site daily, and was extremely helpful with guides to day trips, assistance with hiring a car.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We would stay here again and would cheerfully recommend it to a friend.

Things to do in this area

Walked, would recommend Caffe Poliziano, attended a concert, ate out, took a car tour of the region, visited churches, museums, galleries ... There is plenty to do.
