Summer 2012, 10 weeks

Location

I rented in the center of Florence, the location was incredible, the best! Walking distance to everywhere, public transportation available (but not necessary).

Nearby Amenities

The area is very touristic, there are many, many restaurants, markets, and cafes.

The House/Apartment

The building is not historical but very old, very well kept though. The apartment was a small 1/1 but a complete disaster, everything was broke and still was broke after our departure 2 1/2 months later. We reported the problems several times to Milligan and Milligan agency but they did not care.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The furniture was in good condition but not clean at all. I had to wash even the cover of the sofa since everything smelled really bad.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The bed was comfortable but the toilet was broken and the dirty water came out every time I flushed, again, reported several times but the agency always had an excuse and it was still broken after we left 2 1/2 month later.

Kitchen

The kitchen was okay.

Problems or Bonuses

Many problems: Broken TV, AC, toilet, water meter (an we had to pay utilities).

Agency and Representatives (and price)

I paid €770 per month. It was a waste! The agency advertises the unit as a top of the line and nothing works. They do speak English but you end up wishing not to speak with them since they are always in such a bad mood... Every time I went to their office it was someone either complaining, cancelling their contracts, or reporting something bad, which leads me to believe that all the units they advertise are nothing what they say are.

The owner works in the office and she is the worst, so, no one to complaint to. I am a Real Estate agent in my country. These people are a disgrace to the industry. They are not professional and only care about the money (which they collect up front, of course) after that their attitude changed drastically.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Not at all. I can't emphasize enough the bad practices of Milligan and Milligan . Stay away from them even if they have good prices. If it is too good to be true... it is probably not that good!
