apartments in Montepulciano, Tuscany South WhenAugust 2012, 8 days ReviewWe highly recommend the Politian Apartments. The location in town is great, a close walk up (the steep) hill to the main square or down the road to the shopping strip. We stayed in Apartment 3, with the courtyard, as we have a young baby. Giacomo was wonderful in answering all our questions about the apartment and it lived up to our expectations. The rooms are huge! The windows allow a beautiful breeze throughout the apartment - which was wonderful given the hot summer! My only comments would be that the sofa isn't that comfortable, however as we were out and about a lot we weren't really sitting down much. The beds on the other hand were amazing! I have traveled extensively and I'm very critical of beds - these were a very pleasant surprise! My other comment is that it can be a little noisy with the windows open all the time however we were staying during the week of festivities! The galley style kitchen was very well appointed - the knives were even sharp! The bathroom was also well appointed. However the shower is a little on the small side. A bonus was discovering a washing machine - a blessing with a small child who is a messy eater! As mentioned above, Giacomo was wonderfully helpful in answering all my questions prior to our stay. He even has a mobile phone with an Italian SIM card available for your use - saved us a lot of hassles. I would definitely recommend staying at the Politian Apartments and will hopefully visit again one day. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
