Location

It overlooked a deserted and overgrown collapsed factory in front and a large industrial piping system complex on the right.

Nearby Amenities

A quick stroll to Piazza del Popolo.

The House/Apartment

It was part of a small complex without parking.

Garden

On line this apartment has a beautiful and utterly charming open terrace. However the terrace in fact was closed in and looks like a bare garage with a sewer manhole in the middle. The air was stuffy from a lack of ventilation and the smell from the sewer. In the middle of summer it would be terrible but even in autumn it was not great. There was also a high wattage light on the enclosed terrace turning night into day. It made the outside area mainly uninhabitable and sleeping difficult.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

It is aging badly. Most of the furnish is tired. The remote for the air conditioning didn't work. The door to the washing machine required an advanced degree in physics and the strength of a steroid fueled weightlifter to open and close.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

One bed collapsed.

Kitchen

The toaster circa 1965 took about 15 minutes to toast some bread.

Problems or Bonuses

We had to avoid scattering our clothes and shoes on the floor. There were scorpions.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Rome Sweet Home practices blatant and unapologetic marketing deception of the highest order (photographs to prove). Rome Sweet Home doesn't work on the weekend so any problems cannot be dealt with at all unless Monday to Friday, 9-5. The manager was rude and argumentative. Apparently the entire problem was of my own making. Don't go anywhere near them.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

No. It will ruin your holiday.
