2bed/2bath apartment near Campo dei Fiori, Rome WhenNovember-2012, one week LocationApartment is located in Campo dei Fiori, right in the center of Rome. Amazing location. Nearby AmenitiesWe walked most everywhere, to sight-see, or took the local buses. A well-stocked grocery store was right around the corner, with helpful clerks, and helpful customers, too! A bakery/pizzeria was also just a few steps away, and we enjoyed hot croissants (and pizza!) for breakfast, every morning. The Campo dei Fiori market was fun, but fairly expensive. Lots of choices for restaurants, bars, and ice cream, all close-by. The House/ApartmentThe apartment was everything as advertised, and more. I'd wanted to rent the Pink Apartment, with a terrace but, with a toddler in the group, that didn't seem wise. The Red Apartment had plenty of room for five adults, plus a two-year old, without feeling at all crowded. Living area was all that I'd hoped for, with lots of sitting area. GardenNo outside area with this apartment, though two of the other apartments had private terraces. In late November, this wasn't a deal-breaker. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasEverything was in good shape. Clean, and with enough space and chairs for everyone in out group to be comfortable. Bedrooms/BathroomsBeds were comfortable. Both bedrooms were very quiet. The master bedroom was very nice, with a historical inner wall. Second bedroom was pretty small, but adequate. The couch in the living room was comfortable, and reasonably quiet, once the windows were closed. KitchenKitchen/eating area was fine, and very user-friendly, but I decided against attempting to cook Thanksgiving dinner in the apartment ... :) Problems or BonusesThe biggest bonus for us was that Cristina let us pay her in USD when we checked-in, instead of us having to arrive with EUR. (Using that day's currency exchange rate.) No problems at all. A wall plate covering some wiring fell off, and Cristina arrived, very timely, with a new plate and screw driver! The elevator was totally reliable which, with a toddler in tow, was very nice. Agency and Representatives (and price)Cristina was great to worth with. She answered emails, immediately. Her English language is excellent, and she was most helpful, in addition to being very business-like. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I have already recommended any of these four apartments to my friends and neighbors. Based on our experience, you can feel comfortable with all aspects of the rental, and location. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
