1bed/1bath apartment in Cagliari, Sardinia

January 2013, one week

A perfect location in the Castello area of Cagliari right by the elevator so you can zip down (or more importantly back up!) to the Marina district for all the restaurants.

You are allowed to take a car into the Castello area and there actually was street parking available although you can't leave a car overnight. We parked at a nearby lot that was very convenient - the owners gave very good directions.

Nearby Amenities

Small grocery store about 50 meters away but most of the bigger ones are in the Marina district. Lots of restaurants nearby.

The House/Apartment

The building is historical and the apartment absolutely stunning; with vaulted ceilings and a frescoed ceiling. It's on the main floor but up a few stairs so people on the street can't see in the windows (which have grills on them).

You can view the property directly: Apartment in Cagliari.

No outside space.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The furniture was incredibly comfortable and the apartment was spotless. Lots of seating.

Great beds and lots of cupboard space. The bathroom was lovely with two sinks and great water pressure (shower only, no tub)

This was one of the best equipped kitchens we have rented. Very thoughtful touches such as pasta, lots of dried herbs, coffee, tea and water which we were encouraged to use. And everything was spotless and new.

Problems or Bonuses

It was even more beautiful than the pictures!

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The owners are lovely - they own a local art gallery. They correspond well in English and we all got by in person (their young son translates the emails!). When we checked in they brought a friend who spoke English which was very thoughtful.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Absolutely recommend! One of my all time favorite rentals.

There is a second apartment that can be joined with this one if you have a large group. It's also lovely.
