Review 5591: Sleep in Italy, Pantheon Home
3bed/3.5bath apartment near Pantheon, Rome
June 2013, 10 days
The apartment was located right by the Pantheon. We could actually see the Pantheon from the living room windows.
There was a small grocery store that was less than five minutes away and a much larger one by Largo Argentina that was less than 10 minutes.
The building was very old and well maintained. We could open the windows in the living room and hear the musicians in the piazza at night, but the bedrooms were quite. Two were in a upstairs area that had skylights. With the skylights closed, it was very peaceful. The third bedroom was on the interior courtyard.
You can view the property directly: Pantheon Home.
The apartment was large and well furnished. There was ample seating in the living room and dining room. We arrived before check-in while the apartment was being cleaned and the workers did a great job. Every floor was scrubbed!
The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. The downstairs bedroom had a comfortable bed and a large shower in the bathroom. The first upstairs bedroom had a king size bed. It sagged in the middle and was not very comfortable for two adults. The bathroom for that bedroom had a large shower/tub. The third bedroom had twin beds that could be joined. The shower in that bathroom was fine for my kids, but would be tight for anyone who was large.
The kitchen was very small but well laid out. I cooked several meals and there were plenty of pots and pans. The refrigerator was large.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
The agency was easy to work with. We arranged a driver to pick us up, which worked well. The driver who took us to the airport when we were leaving actually took us a different way so that we could see the whole city from a hilltop. We stopped and took some great pictures.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
I would definitely stay there again. The location could not be beat and the apartment exceeded all of my expectations.
Things to do in this area
There are plenty of things to do around the Pantheon. We walked almost everywhere. The Colosseum, Trevi, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, The Spannish Steps, Piazza de Popolo were all easy walks away. The Vatican is a bit longer, so you can either walk there or take a bus from Largo Argentina which is about a five minute walk.
