Review 5599: Owner, Piazza S.Egidio Apartment

Review by TravelBugBoston from MA

1bed/1bath apartment in Trastevere, Rome

July 2013, 8 nights

The location of this apartment is absolutely ideal! It is in the center of the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome and within a 20 minute walk from the historical center (Colosseum, Pantheon etc.). Trastevere itself is the perfect place to stay because it's both residential and very fun.

Nearby Amenities

Yes, multiple open air markets, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants etc., are all within a 5-10 minute walk.

The House/Apartment

Honestly, this is one of the best apartments I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. I can't say enough great things about it. The location is superb, the apartment itself is spotless and contains everything you need for an amazing stay. The kitchen is unbelievable and made me want to have dinner parties every night, the bathroom is large, the bed is comfortable, and there are plenty of closets and other storage spaces. Although the apartment is on a busy street and very close to all of the main attractions, the bedroom is extremely quiet at night. I'm a very sensitive sleeper and I had no trouble sleeping any of the nights even though it was at the height of the tourist season.

There is no garden but the view to the main street is beautiful! There are musicians that play outside every night so if you're too tired to go out, you can always open the window, get a glass of wine, and enjoy the show from the comfort of the apartment.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Everything was in excellent condition. There isn't a single even semi-negative thing I can say about the apartment.

Everything was great!

Kitchen was beyond belief -- I'm a foodie and have a great kitchen at home so trust me when I say that this kitchen is incredible!

Problems or Bonuses

It was even better than I expected :)

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Excellent. The landlady is American and speaks perfect English. It was very easy to work with and get a hold of her.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

YES! My parents stayed at this apartment last summer and my sister and brother-in-law were also here on a different trip last year. All three of our trips have been superb and all five of us give it our highest recommendation.

Things to do in this area

There's so much to do in this area that I can't list everything :) Fior di Luna gelato is the best in Rome!
