Review 5734: Owner, Roof Terrace Apartment (p191206)
1bed/1bath apartment near Sant Ambrogio, Florence
May 2014, 1 week
Great location! Around the corner from the Sant Ambrogio Market on Via Agnolo. Less than 10 minute walk to the Duomo but not nearly as crowded on the streets.
Easy walk to the Sant Ambrogio market for anything edible. Plenty of very nearby shopping. Bakery less than a block and a vino sfuso less than a block. Very good coffee place on Via Macci - about a block away.
This is on the top floor of three without a lift. There is another apartment on the same floor.
The private roof top terrace is really lovely.
Furniture was all in good shape. Not antiques but not IKEA either. Very comfortable and a good mattress. Plenty of chairs. Very clean.
Bathroom has a typically tiny Italian shower and a separate bathtub. The clothes washer is in the bathroom too, so it's bigger than most with pretty tile.
Kitchen worked well although I didn't really cook there. Seemed very well equipped with very pretty china a nice wine glasses.
Problems or Bonuses
I loved being able to hang the laundry outside on a line. WiFi worked but was iffy sometimes. Marina says she is trying to improve it.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
Marina, the owner, is wonderful. She's very responsive to email and easy to communicate with.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
Unequivocally, I would stay there again.
