2bed/1bath apartment near Marina di Ascea, Campania WhenApril 2003, 2 weeks ReviewWhen I asked my husband and children to come up with one word to describe our stay at Casa Rosina, they came up with "relaxing", "wonderful", "excellent", "fun", and "nice". These words really did reflect how we all felt. The villa was perfect for children, it was away from the road so they were safe. There was plenty of lovely space for them to run around and explore. Lots to see; lemon, orange and olive trees. They enjoyed the swings, see-saw, table tennis volleyball and basketball hoop (kindly readjusted to their height). The beach was close by, easy to get to and we had it to ourselves because the tourist season had yet to get going. It was beautiful. There was plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas (we managed Pompeii, the Vesuvio, Paestum and Naples for day trips and more locally Velia and Palinuro) but whenever we went out for the day the kids kept asking to go back to the villa and the beach!! Silvestro the owner was an attentive and kind host. Nothing was too much trouble for him (there were lovely scented flowers in the kitchen when we arrived -- a nice touch) and he was well informed about local places of interest. I think the children will remember his pizzas and his outdoor pzza oven for a long time. We were not disappointed with the accommodation. It was of a good standard and matched the information we had been given. We all had a really wonderful holiday and everyone is extra keen for me to book again for next year already, and I've promised that I will soon. We can't wait.
