Vacation rentals in Italy (villas, farms, estates, agriturismo, apartments)
Review 5752: Summer in Italy, Villa Gentile
3bed/2bath house in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Tuscany Chianti
July 12th to July 19th 2014, 1 week
It was nicely located in the Chianti region, close to Florence, but quiet and peaceful in the countryside. It was a wonderful authentic Tuscan villa.
You had to take the car to get groceries or go out for dinner, but it was only a five to seven minutes drive.
The building is beautiful, authentic, in good condition with all convenience (dishwasher, washing machine, etc.). Especially the garden and the pool with an extraordinary view were amazing. We had the house all to ourselves, the owners lived in a house next door and were of wonderful help all the time.
Outside was awesome.
The furniture was fine. Again it fitted the house and region.
The beds were good. The house has two bathrooms that were clean and fine.
The kitchen was completely equipped and you could easily cook what you need. We also had a large barbecue for us.
Problems or Bonuses
The house and view were wonderful and the owner was great. We truly enjoyed it.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
The agency was well organised and always offered to help.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
I would clearly recommend this to other visitors.
Things to do in this area
We visited the nice Tuscan cities, such as Florence (by bus from San Casciano), Siena, San Gimigiano, Lucca and it was excellent.
