Review 5761: Le Torri, Apartment

Review by JaniceF from Manchester

apartments on an estate near Montespertoli, Tuscany Chianti

July 2014, One Week

We stayed Villa Le Torri for a week at the end of July, using this accommodation as a base to tour all of what Tuscany has to offer. Location makes it very easy to visit Florence, Siena, Voltera and others, all within an easy drive allowing time at the end of the day to enjoy this fabulous holiday accommodation.

During our stay we also spent much time lazing around the pool using the first class pool side facilities.

Nearby Amenities

Local grocery store, bar and restaurant in easy walk distance.

The House/Apartment

There are seven quality self-catering apartments of varying sizes, all well equipped. The building has great historical character.

The large outside area and gardens are very well kept. There is a large barbecue for guest use. The outside shared pool is large and very well kept, with plenty of poolside furniture that is of a high standard. It never gets crowded. There are also many quiet areas in different parts of the gardens with furniture to relax on while reading or having a glass of wine (or both!). In the gardens there are fruiting lemon trees, olives bushes, plum trees and many other well kept fruit bushes and flowers.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

All of the furniture, inside and out, was of a high quality and well maintained by the owners. Everywhere in and outside was well kept, in good order and clean. All shared areas never became crowded, we were able to always find a place to sit and relax.

The beds were comfortable. Our two bedroom accommodation also had two bathrooms with good facilities in each.

The kitchen was well equipped and functional. We were able to cook a wide range of meals during our stay.

Problems or Bonuses

The welcome buffet on the first evening was fantastic. All home cooked, presented with a good selection of local wine and attended by all of the guests so we could meet and compare suggestions on where to visit in Tuscany. We also attended the optional Wednesday meal that is also prepared by the owners and all guests are welcome for an additional charge (Well worth the extra charge).

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Booked direct, not through an agency.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

This is our first visit to Villa Le Torri, and we are definitely coming back. We would recommend this accommodation.

Things to do in this area

Easy access to local shop, bar.
