Review

We rented La Strega through the Suzanne Cohen agency. This villa is in the environs of Siena, situated on a hill looking over a valley across from the Siena skyline. It takes about 5 minutes to drive to the parking lot at the gate where the escalators are.

This house has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. One of the bathrooms (with shower stall) is downstairs; all the bedrooms are upstairs. It is the grandest and most formal of the houses. It has mostly marble floors, formal Italian furniture. The beds were comfortable; linens a bit sparse in the bathrooms but nice. The kitchen is large and pretty well equipped. There were no cereal bowls but that was the only thing lacking except for a drip coffee pot, which we left there. There was a beautiful terrace next to the rose garden and from which you could see Siena. Access to this house is fine.

Lacking: There is no fireplace here. We were a bit chilly in mid-October and a little fire when we came in at night would have been most pleasant. Temperatures inside were about 65 degrees F. so we had to bundle up. This is not a cozy house but it is beautiful and I think in hot weather would be a good choice. There is a pool.
