2bed/1bath house near Palazzone, Tuscany South

When

September 2003, 1 week

Location

The rental was in the country. It was a beautiful, secluded location. It was right on a vineyard and nothing but country around you. Very peaceful area.

Nearby Amenities

There was a restaurant very close, pretty good and two small grocers, a butcher shop and a coffee shop.

The House/Apartment

It was an older stone cottage originally used by the workers on the vineyard. It was in good shape.

Garden

There was a nice sitting area both in front with a table and in back with two lawn chairs. It was private. There was a pool and it was shared up the road.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The furntiture was great, clean and functional. There was a good amount of space but it is definatly a house for a couple or a couple and a small child. Two couples would be tight.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The bed was VERY comfortable and the one bathroom was nice.

Kitchen

The kitchen was great, we cooked often. There were plenty of pots and pans and they worked well. It was a great kitchen to work in, small but functional.

Problems or Bonuses

Grape pickers one morning, a fun surprise.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Very, very well. The onsight person was nice, she spoke as much English as we do Italian. The internet people spoke perfect English.

Yes it was definetly accurate.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Absolutely. I would recommend it as long as people understood it is cozy, and that is part of the charm. We loved being there; Palazzone is a little rural town in the country with great people. Give your Italian a try, they won't laugh at you.

Things to do in this area

There are lot's of tourist sights in close proximity. We liked exploring the little town around us.

Montepulciano is about a half hour, albeit touristy. Celle Sul Rigo and San Casciano dei Bagni nearby are great little towns with good restaurants.
