9bed/5bath villa near Lake Trasimeno, Umbria WhenNovember, 7 days LocationThe villa sits on top of a hill that overlooks the lake and Umbrian countryside. You can see the lake from anywhere on the grounds. The villa is all by itself and is very quiet and relaxing. Nearby AmenitiesThe villa is located above the town of Passignano and you can walk to everything in the town. The grocery store and most restaurants are located on the towns centro and are very close to the villa. The House/ApartmentThe building was better that any photo on the website. The owner had remodeled from top to bottom. It was very authentic with many modern convienences. The floors were heated, there was high speed internet access and a fully stocked wine cabinet GardenThe grounds around the villa were breathtaking and very beautiful. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasAll of the furniture was beautiful antiques for Toscana and Umbria. They villa was wonderfully decorated. Bedrooms/BathroomsAll of the bedrooms were very nice. The beds were comfortable and the custom linens were very soft. The bathrooms were wonderful with marble sinks and full showers. KitchenThe kitchen was the best part of the house. The table easily sits 18 adults and the modern appliances were great for cooking your own authentic Itlaian cuisine. The kitchen was stocked with more than enough cookware and dishes. Problems or BonusesThe only surprise that we encountered was the beauty of the property. The photos on the website are great but it is more beautiful in person. Agency and Representatives (and price)Marco and Maria Rita the family that owns the villa were wonderful. They treated us like family and we will always come back to stay with them. We had our wedding at the Villa and they took care of every detail. I have been to Italy many times and have never had a better time. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? This is the best Villa that I have ever stayed at. It's location is very central and you can reach all the great sites on under two hours. We have already made plans to return next year. Things to do in this areaVisit Lago Trasimeno, visit tuscan wineries, shop for pottery in Deruta.
