9bed/5bath villa near Passignano sul Trasimeno, Umbria

When

November 8 - 15, 2003, 1 Week

Location

Location was lovely! Views from both sides of the house to Lake Trasimeno. Convenient for Perugia, Asissi, Arezzo, Cortona, etc. Very quiet with olive trees on the property. Pool, but we didn't use it in November!

Nearby Amenities

Local grocery store not far.

The House/Apartment

House was recently renovated and very nice. Rooms tastefully decorated and modern bathrooms. Kitchen with huge dining table in kitchen was probably our favourite room. We rented 2 apartments.

Garden

Very nice but as it was November, only had one day out on the deck overlooking the lake. There were umbrellas provided but we didnt need them. There is a pool, but again, time of year was wrong.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Furnishings in excellent shape - antiques.

The house was clean and only complaint I would have is the mid-way cleaning the towels were not changed and we expected them to be changed.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Beds comfortable and bathrooms modern. There were enough bathrooms for everyone.

Kitchen

Kitchen was great! There was a good stove and microwave. We cooked and ate twice at the villa and we all loved the eat-in kitchen. Very cozy.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Marco, the owner, was fantastic. He speaks very good English and gave an excellent tour of the property when we arrived (much later than anticipated!). He even invited us down to the olive mill to watch his olives being pressed and gave us a tour of the mill.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Absolutely! Probably won't stay here again but that is just because we have already toured the area and would like to see more of Italy but would definitely recommend to others.

Things to do in this area

The ceramic shops in nearby Deruta are very expensive. Just go down to the main street on the lake and there are 2 ceramic stores next door to each other (next to a parking lot). Much cheaper and the ceramics are all from Deruta.
