I highly recommend that travelers stay AWAY from Rome Sweet Home. In March 2004, I began looking for an apartment in Rome for travel in June, and found the perfect property on Rome Sweet Home. I e-mailed them to inquire about its availability, and heard from Georgia and Alessia that it was available, so to make a deposit right away since it was high season. I did that same day. I didn't hear back from them for two days, so on the third day sent an e-mail asking for a confirmation. Again, I didn't hear back for two days, at which point they told me the apartment was overbooked but they would offer a different property, but for dates that didn't work for us. In the meantime I lost all of the other apartments I had on hold. I have since asked them to cancel my reservation and send me an e-mail confirming that they would not charge my credit card, but I have not heard from them.
