2bed/1bath apartment near Campo de' Fiori, Rome WhenApril 5 - April 8, 2004, 3 nights LocationWhat a wonderful location! Twenty yards from Campo Dei Fiori with it's fabulous fresh market every morning and simply delightful bakeries, bars, and market. This apartment is located in the heart of Rme and provides an authentic experience. Nearby AmenitiesIn addition to Campo Dei Fiori, Piaza Novonna is just a few blocks away. Several small shops and grocers are nearby and dozens of restaurants and bars are in short walking distance. The House/ApartmentThe apartment is clearly for the budget concious, but was clean and comfortable. It is in an old building with several other apartments that were occupied by quiet residents. The building was in good condition as was the apartment. It was a bit crowded for my family of 5 but we were aware of that when we rented it and felt the location more than compensated for the lack of extra space. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasFurnishings were quite simple and sparce but again, everything was clean and comfortable. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe beds were comfortable and the bathroom appeared to be new and spotless. KitchenThe kitchen was quite small but served to prepare breakfast and lunch. Problems or BonusesTHe only potential problem is the bar directly downstairs. Being there during spring break it could be noisy at night although it certainly did not keep us awake. Agency and Representatives (and price)Helen and her associate Prudence were just wonderful. Both speak English (native language)and were completely professional and fiendly. Despite my wavering schedule thay were their to meet us and accommodated our need to check out at 5:00 am by coming the night before. The car they arranged was driven by a polite punctual driver which was most appreciated. I whole heartedly recommend ComfortItalia. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I highly reccomend this rental for the price. It is NOT luxurious or spacious but it is in a GREAT location. Again ther bar may be too noisy for some. Things to do in this areaWe thoroughly enjoy Gli Amici on Via Croce by the Spanish Steps and also enjoyed a great dinner our last night at Ponte E Parione, just a few blocks from the apartment. It was a small restaurant with GREAT service and excellent food. The Tiramisu is the finest we have ever eaten. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
