Review 939: Venice Rentals, Lido Villa/Apt

Review by Vita Marie from GA

3bed/2bath apartment in the Lido, Venice

May 2004, 7 days

We were lucky to find venicerentals.com - we wanted to stay in Venice, but not in a tourist area, they suggested one of thier apts in Lido. On the island of Lido, we stayed in a wonderful "storybook" villa/apt on a quiet street, with a large private patio and lusious landscaping. It beautifully furnished with an eat-in kitchen. It was walking distance to center of town, the beach, the boat transportation to and from Venice and other destinations. Venicerentals also helped with great suggestions for unique places to see and dine, but also with walking and biking trips! We are planning on going back next year to stay in their San Marco apt!! Highly recommend a visit with them!!

Nearby Amenities

Everthing from morning coffee, local grocery, many fine dining establishments and even the beach was not more than an easy 5-10 walk from the Lido Villa/Apt.

The House/Apartment

The house was a beauifully restored older home with another apartment in the same building. Each large window offered great views of the landscaping and the quiet street it was on, we kept them open to enjoy the breeze! It was surrounded with flower covered walls and a wrought iron gate, that had a privacy lock. Felt very sercure in this location, important since we were all girls from USA on vacation!

The outside garden was spectacular! It was private, completed walled in, with a large area with chairs to relax and dining table.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The apartment was spotless, very comfortable with more than enough chairs, cozy sofa even had a panio and large eat in kitchen. Lots of space to write and draw.

There were 3 large bedrooms (it was two story, one downstairs)the beds werequite comfortable, bathrooms up-to-date. They had lots of extra towels, good quality linens on the beds.

The kitchen was bright and cheerful as its windows overlooked one of the gardens. It was fulled equipped as we cooked quite often and all of us could dine in the kitchen. They had enough dishes and serving pieces for the whole week.

Problems or Bonuses

Bonus: We did not realize how close were were to the beach!! It was quite easy to bike around without getting lost.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Denise from Venticerentals.com was a huge help. She spoke English and was eager to help us from the start -- advice on transporation, what to bring and travel tips. Our experience with venicerentals.com was the simply the best!

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We would highly recommend Venicerentals.com to everyone. They offer not only the best in accommodations, but excellent service to all thier guests. We have had two friends stay with them after our visit - and they raved about Venicerentals also. Simply the best.
