Can I rent a vacation rental for less than a week?

Pauline Kenny

Most vacation rentals in Italy rent from Saturday to Saturday, a one week minimum. But there are a few places that rent by the night instead of by the week. In England it is easy to find vacation rentals for less than a week (they call them "short breaks") - maybe this will gain popularity in Italy. It would be nice to not have to rent on the Saturday to Saturday schedule, although you can see that by doing it this way the owners get the maximum days booked. And once you get used to this, it is easy to arrange your trip around Saturday to Saturday rentals.

Vacation Rentals by the Night

These are the few vacation rentals that I know of in Italy that rent by the night. They are all from my Vacation Rental Listings pages. Look there for more information.

Consider Bed & Breakfast Places

You might want to consider Bed and Breakfast rooms instead. Many of the estates or farms offer these by the night. These are also called "agriturismo".
