When: April 2012

Well-located in Galata Tower area of Istanbul, close to shops, sights and restaurants. Clean and comfortable, not fancy.

We stayed at the 5oda for our one night in Istanbul before flying onto Bodrum Peninsula area, Turkey. The hotel is actually a converted townhouse with five large rooms [400 sq. feet] each, with kitchen and en suite bathroom. Very clean, spare and modern in aspect.

Our room overlooked a back cobblestone street toward the metro/subway and was light and airy. It actually feels more like a B&B in nature and that's just fine. We were able to specify when we wanted breakfast the next morning and it was placed right outside our door as we made coffee. It was quite ample.
