18th century home right on canal, perfect location, very large, beautifully decorated rooms, excellent food, hosts are watercolor artists.

We stayed with Cecile and Leon (two very accomplished watercolor artists) in May of 2007. We stayed on the second level, which had three very large rooms.

The living room overlooked the canal with a wonderful view from huge windows that opened up completely. There were beautiful furnishings, and a fireplace. The bathroom was fabulous with a very deep tub and also a shower. The bedroom was also very large with beautiful furniture and furnishings. The bedroom overlooked a beautiful garden area below. Guests can use the garden area.

We could not have been happier with this exquisite bed and breakfast. A true gem! The food was also very good and we had a lovely visit with Cecile and Leon! The cost was E80 for one night but if you stay two nights the cost is E75/night. They also have other accommodation on the next floor which also has a sofa bed for extra people.

We highly recommend this bed and breakfast. The location is perfect. Ten minutes to the marketplace. There is a grocery store close by and also a "Cheers" type bar just a block away. We rate this bed and breakfast a FIVE STAR!!! Contact: leon.de.ghelder@pandora.be
