Lovely little guesthouse: excellent breakfast, cozy outdoor social area. Only 5 minutes from the best beach. English-speaking staff! Very cheap for what you get!

Cumelen Bed and Windsurf is a lovely little guesthouse with excellent breakfast and great location. The owner is a cook: breakfast was always a memorable experience! The hostel has a cozy outdoor social area and a brand new barbecue where you can grill a typical Brazilian 'churrasco'!

Cumelen is a simple place, you won't need much in Jericoacoara. Just to relax and enjoy! Great place to unwind after the madness of the big cities. It's a bit off Jeri's busy nightlife and shops, which they might turn out to be very loud, but it is only 5 minutes from the best beach (Malheada).

Prices vary much depending the season, just like everything else in tourist areas. But compared to other hostels in Jericoacoara, prices were very reasonable.

The owners pour their heart and soul into it. They take care of every little detail. They organized our excursions to Pedra Furada and Tatajuba (a must!) and recommended us the best places to eat or to buy souvenirs (to avoid tourist traps). Great talks over a couple of caipirinhas under a starry sky!

We only booked two nights and ended up staying longer! So far the best hostel we've ever been to in Brazil.
