We were looking for a simple hotel for one night near the BC Ferry terminal in Tsawwassen, British Columbia. The Delta Town & Country Inn is in the AAA book as a reasonably priced 3 diamond listing, and turned out to be just perfect for us. The hotel is close to the US border and well marked, but we'd passed it before we realized it! So we backtracked, and then had a heck of a time finding the entrance to the parking lot in the dark. We spent at least 15 minutes driving back and forth, with several u-turns (and a few curse words) before we saw the service road entrance. The front desk clerk was very nice and efficient and we were quickly checked in to our adjoining rooms. Our rooms were on the second floor; note that there is no elevator. We each had a king bedded non-smoking room, with a balcony overlooking the pretty pool area. Each balcony had a couple of plastic chairs and a table, and was a perfect spot for a relaxing post-travel glass of wine. The room was large, and included a desk and chair, microwave and small refrigerator, two padded chairs and hassock, and a well appointed bathroom with tub and shower. The bed was comfortable and the linens soft... Everything was spotless. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel the next morning, but there's a restaurant on-site. (Also an ATM.) If traveling through the area again I'd definitely choose to stay at the Delta Inn. CAN$102.00 + tax per room/night. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |

Nice hotel in great location for catching BC Ferries. 15 minutes from US border crossing. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff.
