A comfortable and stylish hotel in the center of Hvar town, with excellent breakfast and a friendly staff. (3 stars}

I did a little research before booking our four night stay at Hotel Villa Nora in Hvar town - and it exceeded my expectations. It was such a comfortable place to stay.

Our room was very large, with a seating area in addition to the large bedroom area. The bathroom was huge and lacked nothing. The style was contemporary, with an attractive stone wall. It wasn't a cheap room, but we still considered it a good value.

Breakfast was included with the room, and was a feast, unlike anything else during our Croatian trip. It was a big old fashioned German style breakfast, with a platter of cold cuts and cheese, several kinds of bread & jam, eggs if you like, lots of fresh fruit, delicious yogurt, and often something extra like caprese salad. And plenty of coffee or tea, as you like it.

Hvar is an expensive place to eat, so this was a real value. Plus the staff member in the breakfast room liked to chat and was quite helpful.

Likewise, the young woman at the front desk was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. In the reception area is a computer for use by hotel guests.

We never did eat in their restaurant, though we planned on it. We were simply too full of a great lunch on our last day, and couldn't imagine eating dinner!

The room was noisy with the window open, as it is located within the narrow maze of streets in Hvar town. Those narrow streets of stone really carry the sounds of people dining, laughing, and walking at night. Still we loved the location, so central, right off the main square.

They book through Booking.com and that was convenient and efficient.
