Amsterdam: The Bridge Hotel

107 Amstel

Reviewed by: D from CA, review #703

When: 2004

Quiet, charming location did not mean safety. Despite access monitored at the front desk, we were robbed when we stepped out for 1 hour.

Our locked room door was forced open and our luggage was ransacked.

While this can happen to anyone who travels, it is very unnerving when it happens to you. We stayed in the Skinny Bridge Apartment but it was not equipped as an apartment (no cooking ... not even a microwave, no plates, etc. Only had a small refrigerator.) I would not recommend this hotel to others.
