Munich: The Charles Hotel

Comfortable bed, quiet room and nice spa - it is away from the city center but only 5 minutes walking to the main train station. {5 stars}

This is the 2nd year we stayed in this hotel. It is a bit away from the center, but is very convenient if you need to arrive/depart from the train station (5 minutes walking). The walking time to Marienplatz was around 20 minutes for us.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was facing a quiet one way street. The bathroom had a separate shower and bath tub. The sauna in the spa area was very nice. We enjoyed our stay there.

The breakfast was very good (not included in the room rate). It had different kinds of bread, roll, pastry, cake, ham, cheese, fresh fruit, cooked sausage, yogurt ... We ordered waffles and egg white omelette as our entree. We had to skip lunch!
