Dubrovnik: Villa Adriatica

This is THE place to stay in Dubrovnik unless you are set on an apartment. It is simple but has a view that is indescribable. Its location cannot be beat.

The villa, really an old family home, is immediately outside the Ploce Gate which makes it much more convenient than the big hotels. The family that owns the Adriatica is warm, friendly, accommodating and just nice.

Breakfast is not provided but there is a communal kitchen where guests can make coffee and bring it and their pastries bought from the bakery next door to the lovely veranda and enjoy the spectacle of Dubrovnik.

I would recommend room 1 and if it is not available room 2. Both open onto the veranda whereas the other rooms, while having access to the veranda, must go outside and up.
