On Slovenia's coast, a comfortable apartment with parking in Piran.

We stayed here for three nights. We had a studio apartment with one bedroom, with a view of the Adriatic across the street. There were two big windows, a tidy new-looking kitchen that was thoughtfully put together and all very clean. The decor was charming - contemporary and comfortable. The bathroom was very small but adequate.

Outside our door was a shared terrace with comfortable chairs. There was plenty of storage and closet space. WI-FI works best on the terrace.

We found it on and were attracted to the fact that it has onsite parking, very hard to come by in Piran. The location was great, about a 5-10 minute walk into the old center of Piran, along the sea. Use the directions provided by Booking. com, as it might be tricky to figure out if you enter Piran from the wrong direction. To get there, you have to take a ticket for public parking and then immediately on your right, there it is. There is a shared driveway for 4 cars. You don't really need public parking and you just ignore the ticket taken at the gate.

The owners speak very good English and will facilitate. There is swimming very close - really, everything is close. Just park your car and walk everywhere. The owners arranged to get some laundry done for us at their laundry service. It was costly, but we needed it. If you want to do it yourself, there are drying racks available outside.

There are only six rooms, all facing the sea. They don't serve breakfast - they don't have a spot for that. But they provide coffee and rolls at a local cafe, if you want to walk down there. It was noisy at times if the windows were open, as we were on a busy street.

It was a pretty good value, we thought. It has great reviews on Trip Advisor, too. If I ever went back to Piran, I'd stay here.
