I've never stayed at a place like Villa Tehilla. It's one of the many "Zimmer"s that are found in the northern part of Israel - sort of a cross between a B&B and a small inn. Tehilla is the hostess and owner and she and her husband have been there for many years. She is a delightful and welcoming woman. I was very happy to meet and get to know her a bit. The building is a large, rambling house arranged around two central courtyards. Guest rooms are very comfortable and contain a kitchenette and whirlpool bath. Each room is individually decorated with whimsy, yet class. I would say that whimsy is also the operative term in describing some of Villa Tehilla's other features. There are a number of animals on the property - small horses, chickens, rabbits, etc. as well as the "Blues Brothers Tavern," in the basement of the inn. The outdoor spaces, particularly the garden, are lovely. Rosh Pina is a hill town and Villa Tehilla is about 3/4 of the way up the hill. From the garden, there are beautiful views east toward the Golan Heights. There is also a small pool and large whirlpool. As with other hotels in Israel, a large, diverse, delicious breakfast is served. We were very happy staying at Villa Tehilla - it's a very good location for exploring the Galilee and Golan Heights. And the nightly room rates are very reasonable! BTW, the pictures on the website are mostly of the pool. I wish there were more of the garden, which was my favorite part of the villa.
