Montreal: Caffè Italia

A bit of Italy in Montréal with VERY strong coffee.

If you're in Montréal and, for some reason, are longing for Italy, this is the place to go for morning coffee. Located near the Jean-Talon market, Caffè Italia is a storefront establishment that truly evokes the atmosphere of a neighborhood bar in Italy - complete with a soccer game on the TV above the bar, barmen who seem to be the same guys you met on your last vacation in Florence or Rome, and coffee that really packs a punch. Other breakfast offerings include toasted bread with nutella, peanut butter or provolone cheese, or simple sandwiches.
