2bed/1bath condo in Mont. Tremblant, Canada WhenFebruary 2005, 4 nights LocationThis condo is in a complex in the "old" village of Mont Tremblant, probably about 3 miles from the ski center. It is on a steep wooded hill, with very pretty views. The complex is attractive, and there is lots of space between the buildings. There is a convenient, free shuttle which goes to the ski center and back every half hour. Nearby AmenitiesThe near by village has some great restaurants and available conveniences such as groceries, ski rental, etc. There is a large ice skating rink at the bottom of the hill. You probably would drive down to the village due to the steepness of the road. The House/ApartmentThe buildings in Cap Tremblant are all very new. The condo feels very private and has a nice view. It is directly across the driveway from one of the pool/hot tub buildings. Half of the pool is open all winter (you swim out from the bath house, which has showers and a sauna). The hot tubs are outside and feel great after a day of skiing. GardenThe condo has a private patio. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe furniture is all new. The living room has a full size pull out sofa and a love seat. There is a working fireplace and TV with plenty of stations. The eating area has a nice table with chairs for 6 and a "reading nook" with a comfortable chair and lamp. The condo has a large spacious feel to it. Bedrooms/BathroomsOne bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed, the other has bunks, with the bottom bunk a double. Both rooms have good lighting and closets. KitchenThe kitchen has all new, full-size appliances, including a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. Lots of dishes and everything you need. The bathroom has a room with a jacuzzi bathtub and a toilet and another room with a large walk-in shower and two sinks. Lots of towels. Everything was very clean. Agency and Representatives (and price)We booked this through the owner, Marcel. He was very helpful and prompt with all arrangements. Cap Tremblant has a reception desk that can help with housekeeping or maintenance issues. It was MUCH cheaper renting this than through the SunStar-Tremblant web site. Our security deposit was returned quickly. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would certainly recommend this condo for a trip to Tremblant. Although it is not in the "more popular" pedestrian village, it is peaceful and convenient. Things to do in this areaWe have only been to Tremblant in the winter, although it appears that there would be lots to do here in the summer too. The skiing is absolutely great, and many people go dog sledding, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, and skating. There are some great restaurants in the area (many French).
