Location

We really enjoyed this apartment. It was in an apartment building across the street from the Naschmarkt -- Vienna's terrific open air market. The owner arranged for a car to collect us at the airport and met us at the apartment (complete with TV, fax machine, phone, Internet, washer/dryer combo). He gave us maps and all kinds of information. We had come especially for the Christmas Markets. The Internet connect was really great as there was an emergency at home and we were able to keep up with it without making a lot of phone calls.

Nearby Amenities

The location was perfect -- grocery store in the building next door, the wonderful breads, cheese, fruits, veggies, etc. available from the Naschmarkt. There was a bank nearby that didn't charge a fee to cash travellers checks and everything we wanted to see was within walking distance.

The House/Apartment

The building was older but the apartment was very nice, updated and clean -- with an elevator. It was also quiet. We never heard our neighbors. The photos on the website really show what you are going to get. The owner has more apartments in the same building and in the neighborhood.

Garden

No garden but our apartment looked directly down on the market.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The furniture was in good shape and everything was comfortable.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The bathroom is small and the shower is small for a tall person.

Kitchen

Terrific kitchen. We fixed our breakfast and evening meal each day and had everything we needed.

Problems or Bonuses

We tried to use the washer/dryer but we would get an error message half way through the wash cycle. The instructions were in German and I couldn't find a translation on the Internet.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The owner spoke perfect English and the price was quite reasonable.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We stayed in three apartments during our trip and this was our favorite. Would stay there again.
