1bed/1bath apartment in Berlin, Germany WhenDec 2008, 1 week LocationThe location was very convenient. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. There were stores and restaurants nearby, but we spent most of our time in central Berlin. We enjoyed the convenience to the U-Bahn and grocery stores. It was extremely easy for us to use the U-Bahn to get from the apartment to anywhere we going in Berlin. Nearby AmenitiesThere were grocery stores and restaurants very close. We did not rent a car, since we could easily walk or take the U-Bahn. The House/ApartmentThe apartment was in a fairly new apartment building, on the ground floor. The neighborhood was very quiet and with no busy streets. The apartment consisted of a large living room (with a sleeper sofa), a bedroom, a full kitchen with an eating area, and a bathroom. The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the living room very nice. We cooked breakfast every morning in the kitchen and found everything we needed. GardenThere was an outside patio but we didn't use it, since we were there in December. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. Furniture was new and in excellent condition and there were plenty of chairs. Bedrooms/BathroomsBeds (2 twins) were very comfortable. One bathroom was in good condition with good shower. KitchenKitchen was fully supplied and we could have cooked all meals there if we wanted. Problems or BonusesNo problems. The owner was at the apartment putting up Christmas decorations when we arrived. He was very pleasant and helpful. Agency and Representatives (and price)The agency provided very good information and directions. The on site person was the owner, who spoke good English and was very pleasant. We paid €500 for the week (it was an off-season week). Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We would definitely stay there again and recommend it strongly! Things to do in this areaWe didn't do much in the immediate area, since it was so easy to take the U-Bahn to anywhere in Berlin. We got a one week transportation pass, which is a good deal.
