apartments in Dubrovnik, Croatia WhenSept. 2009, 3 nights ReviewA classic and memorable view of Dubrovnik, from the Ploce area, very close to the old center of Dubrovnik. A nice apartment available by the day. Ljiljana calls this the most stunning view in Dubrovnik. She's right. Her terrace is amazing. This is the view you see on postcards, and you can just sit there and soak it all in. The terrace is shared by three apartments and her own apartment on site. It is in the Ploce area, very near the old center. It takes maybe 10 minutes to walk through the Ploce gate and into the old center. But it is UP and DOWN. That amazing view isn't free. You can earn it with some steps or the route on the road which is gentler. If you are reasonably fit this is fine, but I would not call it convenient. Is it worth it? Yes. The neighborhood is quiet, and its fairly close to a grocery store and cafe. Now about the apartment itself. We were there for three nights. Our room had a little balcony with table, chairs, and the one below did not. I liked ours best. The bedroom area was really nice with lots of space and storage. Wood floor, white walls, nice furniture, including a desk. The kitchen was dated, as was the bathroom, but you had everything you needed. Ljiljana is very warm and very interesting. You will be treated as a personal guest. She will answer your questions and provide good advice. She arranged a taxi to take us to the airport. The daily rate is very reasonable. It is a good value.
