WhenSeptember 2011, 1 week ReviewThis is a town house style apartment with a washer-dryer fully self contained. Huge master bedroom with spa type bathroom, the other two bedrooms are downstairs and are quite large as is the bath\shower room. It sits kitty corner from the beach and you can see it from the outside deck which has large table, BBQ and seating for eight, off street parking. The kitchen is fully loaded with dishwasher, oven, stove, electric kettle, microwave, dishes all you needed to do was bring in the food. The furnishings were in mint condition, towels etc. all good heavy duty quality. There was at small back yard area and large outside front deck looking towards the ocean, no pool as the ocean and beach were across the street. Beach hut type eating place across the street, grocery a couple blocks away, 7-11 type store one block away. Beach is long and offers great views of boats entering Cairns Harbor as well as local wind surfers and best of only locals using it. Located approximately 12 minutes from downtown Cairns, but ideal as it is central to the main highway both north and south and gives you easy access to rainforest, tablelands, Cape York, Port Douglas to the north and Dunk Island and Townsville to the south. The rates vary with season under $200 per night, sleeps 6-8. The owner also does house trades on occasion. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
