Rick Steves book is right on: Friendly, clean, economical ... and a little noisy. {2 stars}

2 star hostal 48 euros for twin double with bath.

We chose to make our three night stay in Granada at the Britz, based on the description and recommendation in Rick Steves' book. It turned out to be everything he said, friendly, clean, economical and a little noisy, since all rooms face the Plaza Nueva.

There is an elevator. Rooms are small but adequate. The best thing going for the Britz is its location on Plaza Nueva which makes it about the geometric center and walking distance for coming and going to the Alhambra, Albayzin, the Cathedral area and many good cafes and tapas bars.
