Cordoba: Palacio de Bailio

A beautiful hotel in Cordoba. {5 stars}

Palacio de Bailio is a very stylish modern boutique hotel in a totally refurbished historic building. We found it through anamazinghotel.com - an absolutely brilliant on-line travel agency specializing in Andalucia. We had a wonderful room overlooking the gardens and pool.

The staff were excellent and it is a short walk to the facinating old city of Cordoba, including the amazing Mezquita. This is a new hotel and deserves its 5 star rating.

We paid 220 euros for our 'superior' room - not cheap but well worth it. The only snag is it is very hard to find by car. anmazinghotel recommend hailing a taxi and following it and we found this great advice in Granada and Seville as well as Cordoba.

Unfortunately, we had suffered a fair bit of stress before we heeded the advice. How relieved we were to arrive at Palacio be Bailio and be greeted by a young man who said "let me park your car".
