Excellent, somewhat pricy but worth it restaurant next to River Darro, looking up on the Alhambra. Lots of fish dishes.

Directions: On Carrera del Darro, right next to the river and looking up at the Alhambra. You'll have to walk in or take a cab.

This small-to-midsize restaurant was recommended to us by our wonderful hotel concierge. It's pretty and somewhat modern in decor, located right next to the River Darro, near the far end of Carrera del Darro. It has a fine view of the Alhambra above.

The restaurant was a bit pricey, but not too bad. My husband and I spent a total of $75 (that's dollars, not euros) for two of us, two glasses of wine, desserts, and coffee. (They gave us an appetizer, compliments of the chef.) There were plenty of fish entries, which we enjoy, and the spinach crepes were amazing.

I would recommend making reservations, although if you go early (8:30-9:00), they seem to have a small section set aside for walk-ins. Enjoy!
