Breathe in local atmosphere!

Directions: In the Lavapies district.

This place was a hidden gem. I found it thanks to a German guy who lives part time in Madrid.

It is full of locals. It is really full! It is loud, it stinks (all the fried food) and it was one of my two best experiences in Madrid.

This is a tapas bar, not a restaurant, but you won't be needing any more food. Eat the fried pimientos del padron (green little peppers) if it is the season or better yet, eat a zapatillo (a huge! toasted sandwich). Drink a tinto (red wine) to wash it all down and make friends with the people around you.

Lovely place and a full recommendation if you are open for making contact (the space is tight) and being the only foreigner in the room.
