Famous Barcelona restaurant where Picasso dined with friends

Directions: Very near the Barcelona Cathedral off Portal Angel

Something of an institution in Barcelona - and a very pretty restaurant - we were rather ambivalent about our lunch there.

19 euro for two courses (from a choice of several dishes) including wine and water (they lost money on us!)

I started with a mashed potato and cod dish and had a mixed grill type of main course. My husband had a selection of terrines to start and pan fried fish with garlic.

Actually as I think back it was really quite good - just felt really touristy.
