This hotel restaurant offers delicious food and wine from the Asturian region at a very moderate price. The dining room is a bit bright and there are lots of tourists in it, but this is a tourist town and the restaurant is in a hotel, so that is somewhat expected. There is a team of women serving and they know the menu and wine list well and can help you pick a good wine from the region. We skipped the starter and went straight for the main course which was good because the plates here are huge. Fabada is a local stew of beans and chorizo, and at this restaurant it was a large bowl of deliciousness. It is suppose to be a first course but how could you eat something after that? We also had "Pixin Amariscado" - a large, shallow, copper pan with monkfish and shellfish cooked with potatoes in a "prune" sauce. The sauce did not taste too much of prunes but the entire dish was delicious. We also split a very rich, creamy, layered cake similar to a Tiramisu. With an excellent bottle of local wine, the total was €70, but we did not have starters. It's an easy walk to your room should you decide to stay at the adjoining hotel.
