Great innovative food from a disciple of El Bulli

Sea Urchin spheres with litchi cream, photo by

A great place for a very special meal by a former chef at EL BULLI. The tasting menu is 110€ but worth it. You can get away for less a la carte. Excellent friendly service, and they speak English. Wines quite reasonable. (Try a Somontano Gewurztraminer from ENATE or Viera for only 23€ a steal at a starred establishment). Located in the posh Casino, you are whisked upstairs to the restaurant in an ornate elevator. Star dish was a la carte but substituted with a smile on the tasting menu: sea urchin "spheres" with litchi cream. It worked.(see photo)We went at 9 pm and were the first clients, this being Spain. The crowd was only 2O percent foreigners, the rest being Spanish and quite a few regulars, it would appear. The clientele was elegant. The service sublime.
